Tasman Flyingboats
AUCKLAND. Tue. (Sp.).—Accommodation for double the number of'passengers catered for by the present Tasman service will be provided between Auckland and Sydney when the new Solent class flyingboats go into service. The Tasman Empire Airways Company announced yesterday that the first of these new 44-seater aircraft would be in New Zealand about the end of July. This is the aircraft which Princess Elizabeth recently christened Aotearoa 11. It is the first of four machines which will bring the Auckland-Sydney air lift to 1000 passengers weekly.
