DRAINAGE
LONDON.— Payments by the War Damage Commission, which already exceed the sum of £760,000.000, may reach £1,000,000,000 by the time all the claims are met, says the Daily Telegraph. A total of £3,246,779 has been paid out under one scheme which applies to churches of all denominations throughout Britain. Church of England claims in London alone amount to £6,500,000. although nearly 10 0 churches which were destroyed or damaged are not to be rebuilt.
