Back from a visit to England and from attending the Oslo world conference of the YWCA as a New Zealand delegate, Miss Fay Aldridge, former secretary of the Whangarei branch, will arrive on Friday, and will be the guest of Mrs J. W. Court. Miss Aldridge will speak of her experiences abroad at several meetings promoted by the Whangarei branch before returning to Dunedin, where she is general secretary. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) left for Christchurch by the inter-island ferry steamer last night. He .will meet deputations in Christchurch this afternoon and will speak at a meeting of the Canterbury Labour Representation Committee tonight. It is understood that the Minister of Labour (Mr McLagan) also will be present. The Prime Minister will return to Wellington on Wednesday morning.
