Still Refuse To Work Mountpark

AUCKLAND, Mon. (P.A.).—Five overseas and six coastal vessels are idle and two overseas ships are in the stream at Auckland. Following me refusal of another call for labour for the wheat ship Mountpark today, there are now 550 watersiders on penalty. The executive of the Watersiders’ Union met this morning and the meeting was expected to continue throughout the day. The union’s solicitor (Mr R. E. Fawcett) will probably meet the chairman of the Waterfront Industry Commission (Judge Dalglish) to discuss the proposed court hearing on the Mountpark dispute. Judge Dalglish arrived today in connection with the fertiliser workers’ dispute.
