NA.PIER, Mon. (P.A.)—Fine fleece wools on offer at the second day of the Napier wool sale advanced by up to 3d per lb on Friday’s quotations. Strong wools were fully firm. The sale was conducted at a keen pace, with the Continent entering the competition much more forcefully than on the first day. Ewe wool, comprising the bulk of the 22,000-bale entry, made to 28.1 d for well-skirted parcels, with strong wool quoted from 22d to 251 d. Eellies and pieces also showed an improved return to growers.
