MOREPORK 'NETTED'
Resembling the proverbial buil in the china shop, a morepork had reason to regret its hasty action in invading a Whangarci home.
Flying in through an open door, the bird alighted on the head of a lady visitor to Whangarei and became entangled in her hairnet. Freeing itself after a struggle, the morepork flew up and alighted on a picture rail. It was removed only after being stunned with a cushion.
