Waipu Presbyterians Raise £BB For Food

The congregation • of the Waipu Presbyterian Church has raised £BB for parcels for Britain. In all, 53 201 b. parcels have been sent, and,- though some are still on their way, word has been received that many have already arrived. A New Zealander, the curate of St Gabriel’s, Bricklewood, London, was the recipient of most of the food.

He distributed the goods mainly to old people living alone. In a letter received recently he says: “You folk are held in very high esteem by many people in this part of the world, especially for your wonderful . generosity in helping them through the winter. “After the hard knocks they have taken it is good for Londoners to know they have some loyal and staunch friends in the Dominions.”
