Found Three Miles From Son's Home
KAITAIA, Fri. (Sp.)—Mr Thomas Reidy Dunlop Lowe, the 79-year-old man who was missing from the home of his son, Mr Thomas Lowe, of Waiotehue. in the Kaitaia district, was found almost three miles from his son’s home at 9 a.m. yesterday, in roufh country.
When Mr Lowe failed to return to the house alter leaving for a walk on the farm property, an all-night search was made by members of the family and neighbours.
Police aid from Kaitaia was secured early yesterday morning. Mr Lowe was found by Mr D. Curie, one of the searchers. He had crossed three ridges and negotiated heavy scrub. He bore the marks of a severe fall and was suffering from exposure after having spent a chilly night in the open with only light clothing. Mr Lowe is still receiving medical attention at his son’s home.
