ADELAIDE,, Thu. (1 p.m.). The latest infant mortality figures for South Australia are believed to be the lowest in the world according to a statement by Dr Helen Mayo, chief medical officer of the Mothers and Babies’ Health Association.
Last year the infant mortality ra“t in South Australia was 24.27 per 1000.
New Zealand, which in the past often excelled the Soutli Australian figures, has a rate of 24.94 for the first nine months of last year.
