RISE AND FALL
When the new Liberal Premier ot Victoria (Mr Hollway) took over from his Labour predecessor, Mr John Cain, Mr Cain waved his hand at the Premier’s chair and glass-topped table and said; “It's all yours.” But Mr Hollway. with a nice sense of delicacy, waited until Mr Cain had left the room before he seated himself, but when he did, he fell fiat on his back. The chair, used by all Premiers since 1909. had given up the ghost, at last.
