Farm Labourer Gored By Cow
WESTPORT. Wed. (P.A.).—Forbes Carruthers, aged 36, single, of Wellington. a farm labourer working at Utopia, was gored by a cow this morning and admitted to hospital with a severed artery in the left thigh and other injuries. His condition is serious.
Richard Rayner, about 35, single, foreman at Wallace's sawmill, Totara. had a hand cut in the saw yesterday. Severe lacerations necessitated amputation of two fingers in the public hospital. His condition is satisfactory.
