'Flying Showroom’
NEW YORK, Tue. (11 a.m.)—Ten American businessmen left Miami, Florida, aboard “a flying showroom” today for a 100-day 45,000-mile business trip around the world. The plane is visiting Darwin, Sydney and Auckland on the second half of the journey and will land at San Francisco in mid-April. It carries a crew of seven, as well as the businessmen. The leader of the party, Mr F. H. Bedford, president of the Atlas Supply Company, said the object was to survey foreign countries and to display the latest in tyres, batteries, motor-testing devices, automotive and aviation parts, and accessories. , ■The Americans hope to become acquainted with businessmen in other lands and discuss trade potentialities.
