Hare Lip Treatment
In a recent report of a Kaipara Hospital Board discussion about the treatment of hare lip and cleft palate cases, reference was made to a case in the Northern Wairoa district which would require a series of five operations at a cost of 121. guineas per operation. The Drs. Pickerill. of Wellington, with whom the board has made a contract for the treatment of such cases, advise that the case referred to was a double hare lip and cleft palate.
“We do not wish it to be thought that we take five operations to do a hare lip.” they state.
