AUCKLAND, Wed. (Sp.).—Mr R. J. Kerridge, managing director of Ker-tidge-Odeon Theatfes, announced yesterday that the Food-for-Britain Fund had been credited with £13,112 as a result of the screening throughout the company’s 60-theatre circuit of the German motion picture. “Olympia.” No deductions were made for theatre charges, advertisement or amusement tax. The film was confiscated from the German consulate in Wellington shortly after the outbread of the Second World War, and copies were made in Australia to facilitate the New Zealand screening. The offer from Mr Kerridge’s company to screen the film in the interests of the.
