Cargo For Pamir
WELLINGTON, Fri. (P.A.) When the Minister of Marine (Mr Hackett) was asked to comment on Press reports from London regarding the Pamir, he said that the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London (Mr Jordan) had been requested to negotiate for a suitable cargo for the vessel to load and bring to New Zealand.
“Coal is one possibility,” said Mr Hackett, “and this, as well as others, is being investigated, but in any case it is hoped to secure a suitable and essential cargo for the vessel very shortly.
