Striking Miners May Lose Jobs
LONDON, Thur. (11 a.m.)—The president of the National Union of Mineworkers (Mr Will Lawtheiv warned enginemen in the coal industry who threaten to strike on Monday that steps will be taken to fill their jobs and prevent them coming back. He added that an unofficial stoppage during the wage negotiations must be resisted, even to preventing strikers from re-employment.
