Dropping Supplies For Deer Stalkers

WELLINGTON, Thu. (P.A.L—“Operation deer control,” the dropping of 32.0001 b of supplies to deer destruction parties will commence on January 20, extending over the whole South Island C 47 aircraft of No. 41 Squadron, operating from Wigram will do the dropping. Eight dropping sites will be in Southland, seven in Westland, 10 in Canterbury and six in Marlborough and Nelson. At all these places 10001 b of supplies will be dropped with one exception where a drop of 20001 b will be made. .Grand parties already have their instructions. They have been told how to pick suitable sites for dropping so that the loads are not jeopardised and so that the planes can have a clear run in to the dropping site and a hazardlesd get-away at the end of the run.
