Whangarei County Has Nearly 60,000 Cows

THE Whangarei County had the fifth highest cow population of all New Zealand counties during 1945-46, with a total of 59,469 cows in milk at January 31. The total number of cattle on hand at that date, 138,222, was the second highest total for the Dominion.
