Child's Body In Hospital Dustbin
AUCKLAND, Tue. tSp.).—Wrapped in newspaper, the body of a newlyborn male child was found in a dustbin at the Green Lane Hospital shortly before 9 o’clock on Sunday night. It was well developed and weighed about s?flb. Investigations are being made by Sergeant M. J. Ross and Detective A. Moore, of the city detective office. The body was found in a dustbin standing in a sluice room off a woman’s ward in the tuberculosis section of the hospital. Acting on certain information, Dr A. D. Hodge went to the tin and found the body at the bottom under some rubbish. The child had not suffered any bodily injury. A post mortem examination was conducted by the pathologist Dr W. Gilmour yesterday afternoon. GLOOMY WEEK-END FORECAST! “It’s going to be a terrible week-end for me,” said the young man. “I’ve got a sore throat!” His friend smiled and said: "No such thing!
