| MELBOURNE, —A flash of lightning j at Nyngan, Victoria, injured two people
; 20 miles apart, j Ted Holland. 18, at Nyngan, was taking an order over ihe telephone from , Mrs Rowley Forbes when he was hurlI ed to the floor unconscious, j He was taken home by ambulance i and treated for shock. Mrs Forbes j had also to be treated. Third victim ! of the flash was a large gum tree in the Nyngan High School grounds, j It was shattered badly, pieces weighj ing up to one hundredweight being | hurled as far as 75 yards. | Just before the storm broke the | school children, who were at their | weekly sports, had been using the ; tree as a base for a vigoro match. Pieces of the tree actually fell on the shelter shed.
