Murphy's Food For Britain
LONDON, Fri. (11 a.m.).—The New Zealand boxer Bos Murphy, who is seeking a match for the Empire welt-er-weight title, arrived at Tilbury today with 3001 b of food.
The customs seized all but 251 b. '“lt is tough, but I’ll manage somehow,” he said. “I have 1501 b of steak coming in another ship, but it looks as if I’ll have to cancel that too.”
Johnny McKenna, another New Zealand boxer, came with Murphy.
He, too, had a big packing case of food.
The customs also relieved him of all but 251 b.
