Hill, 10 and 8. The Titirangi man lost only four holes in the 36 and was steadiness per- ■ sonified. He attained brilliant heights 1 between the 23rcl and 28th despite a j drizzle of rain. It was his fourth con-; secutive success in the event. Glading’s remarkable accuracy with , his long iron shots was a telling i'ac- ( tor. Hill’s chief weakness was his I inability to be up with his approach; shots. I L. R. Curtis (New Plymouth) beat R. j B. Hardy (Titirangi) 2 and 1 in the j final of the Thermal Cup. Hardy was. twice 3 up but had two lapses.
