I The seeds of enthusiasm wc-re sown i 111 last summer when-several members of \ I the Whangarei Croquet Club became: interested in bowls. The club then : I decided to allocate portion of its new ; 111 11 green to the game I Members were welcomed to the j meeting by the president (Mrs M. E. ! Walker) and afternoon tea was served.! Mesdames Pernell. Morgan and W. j Calder were appointed to the match j committee. I
October 16 was fixed as opening day
