Airborne Chickens Arrive At Hawaii
ADVICE of the safe arrival of New Zealand’s first airborne chickens has been received by Mr E. A. Higgins, of Ngararatunua. Mr Higgins despatched a consignment of 100 day-old chickens by Pan-American Airways to Honolulu early in August and yesterday learned that the chicks had arrived in good health and were handed over to the purchaser. He has cabled to Honolulu and expects a report on the chicks very shortly. This experiment is the first of its kind carried out by a New Zealand breeder.
