Reject Soviet Protest
(Rec. 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 5. A Foreign Office spokesman said Britain had rejected a Russian protest against the holding of a London conference between the United States, Britain and France on the level of German industry. The British Note was delivered to the Soviet yesterday. The Note says it is hoped 'that agreement on a new industrial level for the whole of Germany will be achieved at the next Foreign Ministers’ meeting. The Note adds that Britain, in the absence of economic unity, must take effective interim action to administer the British zone.
