Expect More Paper From Canada
(Rec. 1.30 pin.i CANBERRA. This Day Australia, New Zealand and Britain were likely to get larger quantities of Canadian newsprint this year,'said Mr C. M. Croft, senior Canadian Trade Commissioner in Australia. He said Canada's 1:547 newsprint production was expected to exceed 4,000,000 tons. It was 2.911.G00 tons in 1945.
Canada’ which was now supplying more than half the world's newsprint, would set aside 500.000 toils for division among overseas markets. The United States would get about 3,500.000 tons and Canada would use 250.000 tons in domestic consumption.
