Travellers' Work For Community
(P.A.i AUCKLAND. This Day. I A tribute to the good work by commercial travellers for the benefit of "less fortunate sections of the community," particularly blinded ex-ser-vicemen, was paid by the Mayor (Mr J. A. C. Allum) this morning. He was opening the 34th annual conference of the United Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Associ- | ation. which was attended by delegates \ from all parts of the Dominion. I Addressing members of the associ- : ation. the president (Mr V. J. S. Stew- j art) said each association had had I a record year, but they should not be | carried away by the times they were now passing through, and should be | prepared for reverses. I It was announced that the general 1 secretary of the United Association for j the past 25 years (Mr W. F. Herrick) I was retiring shortly. '
