Tamahine Collides With Fairmole
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. After returning to her berth yesterday afternoon to land two . Sydney passengers who had boarded her in mistake for the Wahine, the Picton steamer Tamahine collided with the Fairmile, Q4OO, and tore a large hole in the Fairmile’s starboard side. The Fairmile, which was showing a slight list, later was towed to Shelley Bay where there is a slip tg accommodate this type of vessel. The damaged vessel had been berthed at Wellington for some months awaiting sale by the War Asets Realisation Board.
