Eager To Get Back To N.Z.
("Spec., 11 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 22. Wing Commander M. A. Ensor, D.S.O. and bar, D.F.C. and bar. is returning to New Zealand from Britain with one of the most distinguished careers of any Dominion airman, says the Evening Standard. He has been commanding No. 224 Squadron of the Royal Air Force Coastal Command in Cornwall. Wing Commander Ensor left a sheep farm to join the air force at the age of 19 in 1941. He won at the age of 21 three decorations in his first tour of flying duty for attacking several ships and Üboats.
Wing Commander Ensor. interviewed. said: “I am glad I came over, but I am eager to get back to those sbeep.’’
