Youth Trapped On Cliff; Rescued With Ropes (Special.) GISBORNE, This Day
A, deerstalker was rescued from a cliff face at Mahia with ropes yesterday.
He v/as cut off by the tide from his shack and attempted to climb the cliff in preference to climbing several hundred feet over a hill.
He was seen clinging to the face of the cliff, unable to move.
Ropes were carried to the top oi the cliff and the youth was hauled up 200 feet to safety.
He had spent two hours in danger
