Bus Out Of Control; Three Women Hurt
(Slpecial.) NAPIER. This Day. A ’bus travelling from Taradale to Napier got out of control, crashed through the side of a bridge and ran down a 4ft. bank. Mrs J. B. Miller, of Taradale; Mrs F. McCormack and Mrs W. B. Davis, of Greenmeadows, were injured and admitted to the Napier Hospital. *
Mrs Davis was able to return home after treatment. The driver of the ’bus, Mr W. Ensor. said the steering gear locked when the ’bus was about 60 feet from the bridge in a dip in the road, and the vehicle then got out of control.
