Bananas, Pineapples Here
Approximately 5300 cases of bananas from Rarotonga and Fiji and 1000 cases of pineapples from Fiji and Tonga arrived in Auckland yesterday by the Union Steam Ship Co. vessel Matua.
The whole of the consignment has been allotted to the Auckland district and it is expected that the fruit will be available to retailers by Saturday.
