New Plymouth May Have Christmas Without Beer
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. New Plymouth may be without beer for Christmas because rain has delayed the Union Steam Ship Company's ship Waipahi, which was due to arrive at New Plymouth on 1 Monday night with a cargo of beer from Dunedin. The ship is now expected to arrive about Christmas Eve, but its cargo will not be unloaded until after the holidays. Because of rain, loading at Dunedin was delayed considerably.
