Auckland Has Five Frosts In Seven Days
(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day Metropolitan Auckland has put up something of a record in frosts during the last week, five in seven days having been experienced. The two exceptions were last Monday and today. Throughout the period commencing last Saturdays, days have been exceptionally fine, and there had been no thaw, with its unpleasant conditions. Crisp air, bright sunshine and blue skies have been the order, and Auckland has not had such a succession of fine days for 'many winters. The cold for Auckland has been intense in the mornings and night have been bitter, but, generally speaking, the majority of people prefer these conditions to wet, cold weather, with high winds.
