Horse Fair Prices
Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report having held the advertised horse fair yesterday when over the advertised number of horses came forward to a large bench of buyers. Bidding on heavy horses was low while lighter farm sorts and hacks sold well at values on a par with recent sales. Quotations:—
Heavy draughts, £lB to £22; medium draughts, £ls to £18; light farm horses, £l6 to £2O; unbroken draughts, £l2 to £ls; best hacks, £l2 to £l6; ponies. £8 to 15; small children’s ponies, £7 to £l6/15/-.
