Evacuating Baltic States
WASHINGTON, September 30
Large-scale evacuation has been started by the Germans from the Baltic States, says the Stockholm correspondent of the “New York Times.” They anticipate that the Russians will soon turn that area into a theatre of war.
Residents of Berlin and Hamburg, including thousands of children who were originally sent to Latvia to escape Allied bombings are now being sent to new quarters further iwest.
