a vwt »» *** * aisuu v j \ WASHINGTON, September 29. The Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee decided to pigeonhole the Fulbright resolution. The Senate Committee will draft its own resolution on post-war foreign policy. With Chairman Connally’s hacking a strong move had developed within the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to delay action on declarations of post-war foreign policy until the views of America’s chief allies have been sounded. Senator Connally’s view that the committee ought to proceed cautiously, despite the House’s overwhelming approval of the Fulbright resolution, was shared by v . a number of leading senators. Somethought the committee ought to await the outcome of the Moscow conference, and no statement of American intentions ought to be made until after Britain and Russia made their postwar aims clearer.
