Double Distinction For Mr. Charles McKinnon
In recognition of his work in founding the Kaitaia Scottish Society, and the leading part he took in popularising and extending its activities. Mr. Charles McKinnon has been elected a life member and co-governor, the latter post in conjunction with Mr. Andrew Curie, of Kohukohu. In a letter conveying news of this double distinction, the honorary secretary of the society (Mr. S. Beckett) conveys the hope of all members that the improvement in Mr. McKinnon's health will continue, and that he will shortly be returning to his many friends at Kaitaia. Mr. McKinnon is recuperating with his daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dennis, Kauika Road, Whangarei.
