Kaikohe May Have Two Town Halls
KAIKOHE. This Day. If the Kaikohe Town Board is successful in its efforts to purchase the Kaikohe Y.M.C.A. hut, Kaikohe will possess two town halls. The Recreation Hall, which was formerly used for all public functions, is to be repaired and held as a standby. Functions such as shows and sports meetings, for which the Y.M.C.A. hut would not be suitable, will be held there. The Y.M.C.A. hut is at present being used for patriotic purposes and is known as the Patriotic Fund Hall. Advice was received from the National Patriotic Fund Board that the town board would have the opportunity of purchasing the hut after it was quite definite that it would no longer be required for military purposes. Further advice on the matter has not been received as yet.
