Kaitaia Denial Clinic
A well attended general meeting was held last week of persons interested in the Kaitaia Dental Clinic. The following statistics show the position from the opening in November, 1941. Fillings to permanent teeth, 4050; fillings :lor deciduous teeth. 7408; extractions of permanent teeth, 185; extractions of deciduous teeth. 1375. Relief of pain: Dressings, 15; extractions. 51.
Total number of patients in the Kaitaia area group, 715. Average per patient: Fillings. 17; extractions, 2. Ii was decided dial a deputation consisting of Mrs Roughsedge and Messrs Bird. Holder and Pei tit wait on the. Prime Minister with a view io having the initial treatment extended to standard IV, V ancf VI, treatment now being up lo Sid. 11l only. Negotiations are io be made to see if it; is possible to have (lie existing school phone transferred to the dental clinic, as at present no new installations an- permitted. The three nurses attached to this group were praised for their outstanding work and a hearty vote of thanks was carried by acclamation. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted; President, Mrs Roughsedge; secretary and treasurer, A. E. Foster: Takahue School. Mr .J. Stewart and J. Parker. Kaingaroa, Mr G.
