Mangonui Felicitations
The last meeting of the year of the Mangonui Hospital Board concluded with a round of Christmas greetings and good wishes for the New Year. The chairman (Mr J. W. Hoskin) on behalf of the board reciprocated the greetings that had been received from the matron and the staff and exoressed the board’s appreciation of the work that had been done by the staff during the yo,ar. He tended to the medical superintendent, who was present, the board’s appreciation of his services throughout the year. “We realise the fine work you have done and the strain it has imposed on you,” said the chairman. “But you seem to have survived very well, and we extend to you and Mrs McKechnie the very best of good wishes.”
Greetings and appreciation were also extended to the secretary (Mr W. Atkins) and to the Press.
Mr L. Matthews, speaking for the hoard, thanked the chairman and wished him all the best for Christmas and the New Year.
