Special Broadcast For Maori Battalion

Arrangements are being made for the broadcast of a series cf greetings from the members of the Maori Battalion, in the Middle East to their relatives and friends in New Zealand. This information was given today by the representative of the Native Race on the Executive Council (Mr. P. K. Paikea). Mr. Paikea said that representations had been made to him by Maoris that more greetings from the Maori soldiers in the Middle East, in the special services session broadcast on Sunday morning in New Zealand, were desired by the people. He had placed these representations before the acting-Prime Minister (Hon. W. Nash) and in reply Mr. Nash had stated that arrangements were being made for a special session of greetings from members of the Maori Battalion in the Middle East to New Zealand.
