KAIKOHE SEMI-FINALS Two semi-finals were conducted at the Kaikohe links over the week-end when a large number of players took part in a Stableford bogey contest. In the ClubHandicap semi-final W. Morrow beat F. J. Williams 1 up, after an evenly contested match which produced excellent golf. J. Crawley won the semi-final of the Plate Handicap from Carlquist, 1 up, after another closely contested game. The three best scores in the Stableford bogey were: W. Hollings 33, G. Ludbrook 33, W. Barclay 29. OKAIHAU CLUB Matches in the club handicap played on Lhe Okaihau links over the week-end resulted as follows: Smith beat Land, 2 and 1; Brown beat Murphy, 6 and 5; L. Ingham beat Prosser, 2 up; Nixon beat Burnett, at the 19th; A. A. Thomas beat C. W. Thomas at the 20th; R. Thomas beat Horne, 1 up; Ross beat Wells, 5 and 4; A. E. Thomas beat H. Ingham, 1 up.

Ladies: Mrs. C. Thomas beat Miss Wright, 2 up; Mrs. R. Thomas beat Mrs. Ingham, 2 and 1; Mrs. Rowsell beat Mrs. 'ihirtcliffe, 1 up; Mrs. Lee beat Mrs. McInnerny, 2 up. In the final of the ladies’ captain’s prize Mrs. C. W. Thomas beat Mrs. Webb.

WHANGAREI LADIES Weekend players of the Whangarei readies’ Golf Club played in a Stableford bogey competition, and Mrs. Foster, Miss Walker and Miss Lamb all finished with 28 points, but Mrs. Foster won on the count back. Points secured in the monthly aggregate points competition were: Mrs. Foster 3, Miss Walker 2 and Miss Lamb 1. The last monthly aggregate points’ trophy was won by I\Trs. rosier with 7 points, with Mrs. Wilson 6 points and Miss Macleod 3 points.
