Slight Air Activity At Weekend
(British Official Wireless] (Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, May 25. An official communique states that enemy activity last night was very slight. A few bombs were dropped before dark near the coast of East An--glia. There was some damage and a small number was injured. After dark, bombs were dropped on one place in the West of England. There was some damage and a small number of casualties. An Air Ministry communique states that in daylight yesterday the Bomber Command continued its attacks on enemy shipping off the coast of Holland. A vessel of about 2500 tons was set on fire and left listing to port. Another of about the same (tonnage was also hit and believed to have been sunk. Other vessels were bombed and machine-gunned. One of our aircraft is missing from these operations.
The Fighter Command this morning shot down an enemy fighter-bomber into the Channel.
