Whangarei Club Cricketers In Good Form
THE HIGHEST STANDARD THIS SEASON WAS REACHED BY WHANGAREI CLUB CRICKETERS WHEN CONTINUING THEIR COMPETITIONS ON SATURDAY. Old Boys-Xomads and 'Onerahi batsmen were in such good form that they put the teams in what appears to be winning positions. Onerahi made their runs more quickly, and with their bowlers on the job, had Whangarei at the wickets twice during the afternoon. Best innings of the day came from Ces .Whinrp, who made a welcome appearanee to strengthen Onerahi. Men zips, the Services bowler, finished a long wav with creditable figures. Half an hour before starting time, a heavy shower fell, but; the afternoon proved to be perfect, with a well-cut ground yielding maximum value for shots.
