In a one innings’ match on Saturday .a cricket team from the engineers office of the Post and Telegraph Department at Auckland defeated a team from the Whangarei Post Officestaff at Whangarei. The Auckland team were first at the wickets and made 137 (B. Jones 14. Massey 44. Clifford 17, Power 16 > and Whangarei replied with 119 (Power 27, Bennett 20. Jones 18. Rogers -23: B. Jones took 8 wickets for 74. rims).
