Steady Tone On Stock Exchange
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”l AUCKLAND, This Day.
A steady tone ruled on the Auckland Stock Exchange up to the close of business for the week, and at the final call yesterday afternoon the sales covered a wide range of securities.
' Generally the prices showed no change, but Macky Logans showed ,a drop of 6d since their last sale nearly a year ago.
Waihi Investments were up 3d on last week’s price. Activity in Auckland Drainage Board debentures has been a feature of\the week’s business and at the final call the 1954 issue sold at a rise of 10/- on the price paid on Wednesday.
