F.U. Representative For Hamilton Protest
[Special to “Northern Advocate”] HAMILTON, This Day. Whether the Farmers’ Union should be officially represented at the mass meeting called by Hamilton business men to bo held on Monday afternoon, was the question debated at a meeting of the Waikato Sub-Provincial Executive today. It was decided to accept the invitation to at I end the meeting, subject to an official reprosenativo of the union being allowed to put the union’s viewpoint to the meeting. The Mayor of Hamilton (Mr H. D. Caro) will preside, and other speakers will by Mr A. J. Sinclair, Te Awamutu, for the farmers; Mr Gainor Jackson, Auckland representative of the importers; Mr B. E. Woodham, Hamilton, for the retailers; and Mr D. I. Gate, Hamilton, for the builders.
The death has occurred of Mr R. H. MaJlett, the Dominion's representative at the Imperial Cricket Conference. Mr Mallett played minor county cricket for Durham many years ago, and was manager of the first West Indies team which toured England in 1923 and 1928. He had been a regular delegate to Imperial cricket conferences.
