Lighter Rainfall, But Unpleasant Conditions
Rain, which lias been general for the past five days, eased yesterday and, although showers were frequent, they were not heavy, only .15 in. being iccorded in Whangarei for the 24 hours ending at'9 a.m. today. Unpleasant conditions again obtained today, the weather being squcdly with occasional showers. Until the wind changes there seems little prospect of immediate better weather. At Wairua falls 3.2 ms. of rain has been registered in the past five days, the heaviest falls being on Sunday and Monday when slightly more than an inch was recorded each day.
