Te Kopuru’s School’s Diamond Jubilee
[Special to “Northern Advocate"’! DARGAVILLE, Friday. By rail, motor car and plane, former scholars of the Te Kopuru Public School will arrive today and tomorrow from as far south as Wellington, to lake paid; in the celebration of the diamond jubilee of the school. Commemoration trees were planted today, when the Auckland Education Board was represented by Mr G. S. B. Morrison, and former headmasters were represented by Mr J. E. Elliott (1900-17).
A social will be held tonight, and the roll will be called tomorrow morning, when basketball and football matches will be played.
Speakers at the luncheon will include the Hon. J. G. Coates and Mr E. R. Rope, chairman of the Jubilee Committee.
In he afternoon a visit will be paid to the Northern Watroa Hospital, and there will be football and basketball matches in fancy dross.
